// METHODOLOGY
EarlyOGs is an inclusive platform for the early hardcore and gabber scene, run by an active crew of DJs, producers and live acts. It links artists, their releases, their tracks and their collaborations in one place.
Artists across the scene range from pioneers of the original sound to a new generation keeping it alive. Badges such as Pioneer or New Discovery are editorial scene recognition by the crew, not historical rankings or awards.
Signed-in listeners press HYPE IT on tracks they love. Each account can hype a track once, hypes are rate-limited, and a hype only counts once the crew has reviewed it. Tracks marked as another genre or excluded by the crew cannot receive hype.
THE TOP 100 ranks eligible tracks by the number of accepted hypes from distinct accounts. Positions are calculated by the platform itself; nobody edits the order by hand.
A new edition drops on Fridays (Amsterdam time) once at least 100 distinct tracks have received votes. If that threshold isn't reached, the drop moves one week later. Published editions are never changed afterwards.
Artist pages list releases, tracks and directly credited collaborators. Streaming links point to official artist or release pages; when no verified track link exists, the site falls back to YouTube Music or a clearly labelled Spotify search.
View counts come from the streaming platforms. Hype counts are a community popularity signal on EarlyOGs. Neither proves historical importance, and the Top 100 is a community ranking — not an official worldwide or sales chart.
